Modules overview

DrenoxBot is split into modules. Each module does one job (healing, attacking, walking, looting) and they all run together, several times a second. This page shows who does what, the order they act in, and how to turn each one on and off.

Overview tab with the Modules box

The modules#

ModulePanel tabWhat it does

Order matters#

On every tick the modules run in a fixed priority order. The first one that acts "uses up" the turn, and the ones below wait for the next tick:

  1. Equipment
  2. PvP
  3. Healing
  4. Heal Friend
  5. Conditions
  6. Targeting
  7. Shooter
  8. Looting
  9. CaveBot
  10. Helper

That is why healing always comes before attacking, and attacking before walking. An Equipment emergency ring goes on before the potion.

Turning modules on and off#

There are three ways to turn a module on or off.

The Modules box on the Overview tab has 9 switches: Healing, Heal Friend, Conditions, Targeting, Shooter, Equipment, Looting, CaveBot and Scripting. One click turns it on or off, and the change is saved to bot.json.

The names /module accepts are: Equipment, Pvp, Healing, HealFriend, Conditions, Targeting, Shooter, Looting, Cavebot and Helper.

Pausing everything#

The Pause bot button, under the side bar, stops every module at once. The status changes to Paused and the button becomes Start bot. It is the same as typing /off and /on.

Hotkeys#

The bot has no fixed key to pause. What you can put on a hotkey are profiles: on the Tools tab, under Profiles & areas, type the combination (for example ctrl+f5) and click Bind. From the chat:

text
/profile hotkey ctrl+f5 hunt-dragons

Pressing Ctrl + F5 in the client loads that profile with all its rules.

Where the settings live#

Everything you change in the panel goes to bot.json. The bot reloads the file by itself when it changes, so you can tune a healing threshold mid-hunt. If the edit has an error, the running setup stays as it is and nothing is lost.

  • Turn on Healing and check the rules
  • Build the monster list in Hunting
  • Load or record a route in CaveBot
  • Review the alarms on the Tools tab
